Attendance and Punctuality

Regular school attendance is vital for a child’s academic, social, and emotional development. It ensures that students are consistently exposed to lessons, activities, and interactions that build their knowledge and skills.
At Elmsleigh we believe that attendance can be improved if:
  • Pupils, Parents/Carers, Teachers, Support staff work together.
  • Rewards and Celebrations. Good attendance is rewarded as are improved attendance rates.
  • We are affectively monitoring every childs attendance.
  • A clear policy outlining attendance procedures
  • Children are arriving to school on time at 8:45am

Parents/Carers are responsible by law to ensure that their child attends school regularly.

All parents/carers should familiarise themselves with the attendance policy. This policy is available below and a hard copy can be requested from the office if required.
